Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her early Broadway performances include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In the musical, Hair. Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside acclaimed actors and directors on stage and screen. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford's upcoming project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust which he is starring in with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return to Broadway on March 20, 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton is the director of the show. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. She was the star of two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role in the role of Essie. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, as well as the role of Lauren In Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford is from the city of Denver origins native, and now splits his time between Los Angeles.
